Our Story

​

DWA was founded in 1994 as Damian Walters dba Damian Walters & Associates and reorganized in 2002 as Damian Walters & Associates, LLC.

​

In 2010, DWA shifted from general IT development, administration, and consulting to a focused specialty: IT auditing, assessing, and testing of controls. Over the past 15+ years, that focus has helped us become Michigan’s leading credit union IT auditor / assessor / tester, serving 70+ credit unions - about one‑third of Michigan credit unions.

In 2024, DWA merged with North Central Area Credit Union as Damian Walters & Associates, LLC, a Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO), and in 2025 partnered with CU*Answers. These steps expanded our ability to deliver consistent, scalable services while staying true to what clients value most: independent insight, disciplined testing, and clear communication.
